Praise and Worship
We worship God because He truly is awesome. His very Presence inspires awe. We believe in God-focused, passionate, extravagant praise and worship that gives God the honour He deserves! Our heart is to draw near to God with sincerity of devotion, and seek the reality of His presence in our lives. We are a community of believers who have a word of faith in our hearts and on our lips, and this spirit of faith is expressed in our praise and worship. Expression DANCE
Ester is our HIP-HOP queen! The hip-hop group meets once a week and is not just for students but for EVERYONE who is young at heart and wants to express themselves. This group is for beginners but welcomes the more experienced too. Don’t hold back…step up and raise your hands in the air! Be a part of the funk hip hop J-Christ revolution! Michelle’s group is for the free at heart, modern contemporary “free-style” dancers. No experience is required, but be willing to learn some technique and be ready to work out! Just Jamming...
A musical environment where anything is possible! Bring your
instrument or your voice and join us in an informal space,
worshipping God and playing music together. The group meets once a week, but there is no obligation to come every week. Come when you can, but bring an expectation of experiencing God’s Spirit and maybe even writing a song or two without even thinking about it! The aim of this group is to give God an opportunity to birth new songs through us and for us to discover a new sound in worship unique to His People Potchefstroom. Improvisation - Drama
This is not a formal drama group but the aim is to have a lot of fun! Come and learn to share the good news through improvisation and theatre games. We will brainstorm and act out themes that are
currently being preached on Sundays so we can creatively re-enforce the Word that goes out each week. This is a bit like Theatresports, only with a prophetic edge! CD Ministry
We are looking for volunteers who will help with the running of our Audio Visual Resource Ministry. This vital ministry involves editing, duplicating and printing of CDs, DVDs and mp3s for our website – the Word of God is living and active and our desire is to distribute it globally! Movement and Dance – A Biblical Perspective by Mary-ann Vorster. Mary-ann has a passion to see everyone worship God through movement. This practical workshop offers both a thorough Biblical understanding of dance, as well as practical expression. The first workshop will be held in August.

Songwriting Course – We have an excellent songwriting course from Bethel Church in the USA. This 12-lesson curriculum provides a comprehensive framework for writing well-structured, catchy songs. A Biblical Worldview of Arts and Media
This workshop aims to equip and empower every artist and media
practitioner to be Kingdom-minded and learn how to
communicate God’s heart and His truth through their work. Come and allow God’s Word to renew your thinking in this area and empower you to live out your creative purpose! Contact Fiona:

God loves people and so do we! Our heart is to extend His love outside the church to people who don’t know Him or who have a distorted picture of who He is, through the Creative Arts. Every three months, we aim to hire out a venue in town and showcase various items – be it music, movement, poetry or film and trust the Holy Spirit to connect us with people He wants to minister to. We also hope to engage with the community of artists in our city and through relationship, love them back into the church.

Join us every Thursday, 10:30am at 106 Hoffman Street for an hour of prayer...with a bit of a creative edge. As we pray for the arts and media, we prophesy the life of God and the purposes of God
creatively through various art forms.
