Relic is our ministry to the high school youth of Potchefstroom. Relic has an outward, outreach focus and a passion to see the next generation of leaders rise up! Our vision is to see young people have relationship with God and each other. Being disciples, making disciples!

Join our Youth Service on Wednesday evenings at 6pm at the Standard Bank Hall (At the SenWes Park Cricket Stadium, VIEW MAP).

A bit of Relic History

Relic started in 2005 as a ministry to high schools students, primarily through running cell groups in schools and hostels. We started out with ONE cell group and 15 teenagers... Since then God has done a lot of great things in the life of our ministry and the lives of young people. We currently have 18 cells running in 6 high schools and our youth service has 120 regular attendees.

Our Vision

We want to see young people have relationship with God and each other. Being disciples, making disciples!

The name Relic means

• That which remains
  
• That which is left after the loss or decay of the rest
  
• The relics of magnificence
  
• The relics of saints

The name comes from

Romans 11:1-7
I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying, "LORD, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life"? But what does the divine response say to him? "I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal." Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant (RELIC) according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work. What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded.

The whole world looks at the youth and has a lot of negative things to say - there is no hope and no future for them. But we believe that God has reserved for Himself young people, who will serve Him whole heartedly and put Him first in everything, who will be the leaders of tomorrow! Leading this nation and the nations of the world to the revelation and realization of the Kingdom of God here on earth!!!
