Rutanang Life Skills

 Recently we did a group work programme, in Extention 7,  empowering adolescents who are infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.  The aim was to prepare them for the possible death of their parents/caregivers and to empower them to cope with life.   
The following themes were discussed:

• Healthy Life Styles
• Identity and self Esteem
• Roles and relationships
• Effective communication
• Assertiveness and conflict management
• Coping with stress and emotions
• Orientation & implications of AIDS
• Spirituality, death as reality and bereavement
• Financial security and planning for the future

The Hope Again foundation applied for funds to be able to continue with this helpful programme.
